Covid-19 sudah bikin banyak orang pusing tujuh keliling. Macam macam sikap masyarakat sebagai respon.

Ada yang marah marah nyalahin pemerintah. Ada yang diem diem saja mikirin diri sendiri dan keluarga. Ada yang tidak bisa berbuat apa apa dan hanya pasrah. Namun ada pula yang masih mau berkorban dan berjuang untuk orang lain..

Sepertinya, para purna praja IPDN/STPDN Kota Parepare memilih respon yang keempat. Meskipun Covid-19 dampaknya tak pandang bulu, semua orang terkena dampaknya, para purna praja tidak bisa tinggal diam. Terpanggil oleh hati nurani untuk melakukan sesuatu di tengah pandemi Covid-19 ini, para purna praja menyisihkan sebagian dari gajinya untuk kemudian dibelikan barang yang berguna untuk masyarakat terdampak Covid.

Tergabung dalam wadah IKAPTK Kota Parepare, para purna praja tersebut di koordinir oleh Ketua DPK IKAPTK Pare Pare, Bapak Iwan Asaad yang sekaligus menjabat sebagai Sekretaris Daerah Kota Parepare melakukan kasi sosial berbentuk pembagian masker untuk masyarakat kota pare pare pada tanggal 4 Mei 2020.

Kegiatan ini menyasar berbagai kalangan masyarakat dan juga titik perkumpulan orang, posko perbatasan serta berbagai ruas jalan di kota Parepare. Masker tersebut dibagikan langsung kepada pengendara atau warga yang sedang melintas di area tersebut.

Iwan Asaad yang merupakan purna praja angkatan 5 tersebut mengatakan bahwa aksi ini bertujuan untuk membantu Pemerintah Kota Parepare dalam mengedukasi masyarakat tentang pentingnya penggunaan Masker ditengah Pandemi Virus Covid-19 ini.

“Sembari memberikan masker gratis, mereka juga diberikan edukasi pentingnya penggunaan masker jika harus keluar rumah, ini dilakukan demi bisa memutus atau mengurai penyebaran Covid-19, dimana Kota Parepare sendiri sampai saat ini sudah 11 orang yang dinyatakan terdampak virus tersebut,” kata Iwan Asaad, Sekda Parepare

Selain itu Andi Askar selaku koordinator lapangan aksi tersebut mengatakan bahwa kegiatan ini bukan kali pertama dilakukan oleh IKAPTK Kota Parepare. Untuk aksi kali ini memang di fokuskan untuk pembagin masker agar penyebaran Covid-19 bisa diminimalisir. “Kita akan massifkan pembagian masker ini sehingga semua warga Kota Parepare bisa mendapatkan masker tersebut, dan bisa digunakan untuk meminimalisir penyebaran Covid-19,” ungkap Askar. 

Pembagian masker di fokuskan di beberapa titik antara lain Pasar Sumpang, monumen cinta sejati Habibie Ainun, posko batas Parepare Barru, Parepare Sidrap, Parepare Pinrang, Pasar Labukkang, Pasar Senggol, Pasar Lakessi, Pelabuhan, Posko Masjid Al-Manar.

Langkah DPK IKAPTK Pare pare telah menghidupkan semangat gotong royong kita semua untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan pandemi Covid-19 di Indonesia.
